The main objective of the ARC-NL is to promote and support a culture of anti-racism within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Building a culture of anti-racism within the province is crucial to address all forms of racisms, including anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Black racism, anti-Muslim racism, anti-immigrant/anti-refugee xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-semitism and other forms of religious intolerance.

ARC-NL Goals

  • To support and respond to existing local, provincial, national and global anti-racist and anti-xenophobia initiatives.
  • To develop, coordinate and carry out appropriate local and provincial responses to racism, xenophobia, religious intolerance/discrimination and racialized hate.
  • To develop and support community-building and educational initiatives which support a culture of anti-racism in our province.
