Anti-Racist Educational Reform

ARC-NL and its community partners have been advocating for an anti-racist educational reform across NL. We have campaigned at the Department of Education to undertake this review at the K-12 level. Based on our interactions with the Minister and members of the Department, we know that there is tremendous need for anti-racist literacy and training for all members of the Department.

ARC-NL members have also been concerned about instances of racism at post-secondary institutions, particularly anti-Black, anti-Indigenous, anti-Muslim and anti-migrant racism. We know there much more work needed to ensure adequate racial and anti-racist literacy and policy changed at the post-secondary level.
